The Big Walk 2024

Our volunteers are at the heart of the Big Walk, ensuring that the day runs smoothly and giving the best possible experience for our participants. We really could not deliver this event without our passionate group of volunteers and we are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you.
The Big Walk 2024 is a sponsored walk taking place on Friday 28 June 2024, fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease research at the University of Sheffield.
There are two route options - a 20 mile and a 30 mile route. Both beginning at the Three Merry Lads pub, S10 4LJ and finishing at the University Arms. You can view both routes and the marshal points here (we recommend you right click and open in a new window or tab). There are also roles such as drivers and data entry on campus at the bottom of this form.
You can choose to work more than one role - i.e. registration desk at Three Merry Lads, then the finish line at the University Arms. But the software will prevent you from doing so if there is a clash.
You will then receive an email confirmation with the option to save the event in your Google calendar - we strongly recommend you do this. And please make sure to complete our Volunteer Google form once you have registered.
